Therapists: Sustain Your Practice Without Sacrifice

A 12-Week Program for burned-out therapists who want to sustain their practice without sacrificing their own well-being.
Find freedom from burnout with the ReLit Practice, an evidence-based, intuitive five-pillar method designed to restore your energy and reignite your joy.

You get up in the morning and put on your superhero suit, but that cape is getting heavier to wear. Though you know you’re only one person, you feel guilty for not being superhuman when you have the pressure to appear “bulletproof” to colleagues, clients, and supervisors.
What hurts the most is that you no longer feel the joy, passion and purpose in your work; the work that at one time was a higher “calling” but now the only calling you hear is your body calling you out with a nervous system stuck in high arousal from overgiving in an under-resourced system of care.
Yoga classes, weekend retreats, book clubs, and mindfulness apps help in the moment, but once Monday morning arrives, you are back in the same place, exhausted, resentful, anxious, and wondering how you got there.
You can’t remember the last time you had a good laugh with friends, the kind where your belly hurts because, instead of finding joy on the weekend, you are finding a backlog of case notes and are too exhausted to consider anything beyond catching up on work and sleep.
Your job is saving lives, but it's slowing killing yours.
Hi, I'm Stacey Steele!
Helping people has always been my calling, though the path wasn’t linear. I became a mom young, returned to school as a single parent, and built a career as a psychologist, only to find the systems I worked in valued productivity over people.
I poured myself into the work until burnout took everything: joy, energy, and connection. I thought I’d failed, but it was the system that was broken.
That realization became my turning point. I redefined success, shifted from performance to presence, and transformed from overgiving to sustainable practice.
Now, I live what I teach: a schedule that supports me, practices that restore me, and boundaries that keep me whole.
I bring both evidence-based tools and lived experience to my work, helping clinicians remember they are human first. Healing doesn’t happen in hustle; it happens in rhythm, presence, and connection.
That’s the medicine I carry, and the foundation of everything I do.

You are not alone
Finally someone gets it
I've taken countless trainings and consultations, but Stacey met me where I was. The mix of structure and compassion helped me rebuild my confidence and create a practice that feels both ethical and sustainable. Stacey’s guidance is equal parts clinical precision and human warmth.
MACKENZIE B. REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST
I didn’t realize how burned out I was until I started working with Stacey. Her clarity and practical steps helped me set boundaries, work smarter, not harder, and be excited to go to the office. I’m feeling realigned more than ever with my purpose.
CHARLOTTE L. LMFT
Each consultation session with Stacey reminded me that I didn't have to work to an invisible set of standards that kept telling me that I wasn't good enough. I was reminded it was possible to stay in this work without losing myself.

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE RELIT PRACTICE
You are a clinician who feels worn down by overgiving in under-resourced systems and are ready to reclaim your energy.
You can dedicate up to 2 hours a week to learning and reflection.
You have established your caseload, yet wake up most mornings dreading the workday ahead.
Your work isn’t aligning with your values, and you know something has to shift.
Your nervous system feels hijacked in high arousal, and you crave steadiness and rest.
Your boundaries are eroding, and you find yourself saying ‘yes’ when you really want to say ‘no’.
You have some influence on your ability to transition into a new way of working.
You are willing to make real-time adjustments, especially when it comes to setting and holding boundaries.
You are ready for honest feedback and ready to use it in constructive, practical ways.
You want both personal recovery and professional excellence without sacrificing one for the other.

You’re brand new to the profession. You may benefit more from clinical supervision and preparing for licensure.
You’re unable to commit 90 minutes to 2 hours each week for group calls and personal reflection.
You’re looking for a quick fix or “done-for-you” solution, rather than a process that requires your active engagement.
You’re not yet ready to take responsibility for your boundaries, choices, and the necessary changes to reclaim your energy.
You’ve already decided to change careers and are actively preparing for that transition.
You’re navigating a regulatory body complaint, workplace probation, or another situation requiring legal or supervisory support.
You are in crisis, experiencing severe mental health deterioration, substance use disorder, or other challenges that require immediate stabilization before engaging in deeper work.
If you find yourself here, it doesn’t mean you’ve failed or that change isn’t possible; it simply means that you need different support before doing this work.

Begin your mornings rested and clear-headed, grounded by ritual instead of rushing, and move through a workday that feels sustainable, with space to breathe and regulate your nervous system.

Show up to sessions attuned and present, end your day on time with boundaries intact, and have energy left for relationships, hobbies, and simple joys.

Reclaim weekends and alignment. Rest without guilt, honour your values, and know your work can be both meaningful and sustainable without sacrificing your health.
I created The ReLit Practice because I know that story of burnout not just from clients, but from living it myself. I know the exhaustion of showing up with nothing left, the guilt of thinking it’s your fault, and the hope that maybe there’s another way.
And there is.
Find freedom from burnout and transform your life and therapy practice with The ReLit Practice.

That’s exactly why this program exists. Burnout thrives in overpacked calendars, so part of the work is learning to make space for your healing. You’ll need about 2 hours each week, but the payoff is reclaiming energy, setting boundaries, and regaining focus, so your schedule starts serving you, not the other way around.
Every call is recorded and uploaded, allowing you to catch up at your convenience. You’ll still have access to all the materials, plus text and voice coaching with me, so that you won’t miss out on the core support.
You don’t need to bring extra energy; the program itself is designed to give you energy back. With practical, embodied strategies and small adjustments, you’ll begin to feel relief early on. The goal isn’t to add another burden but to integrate tools into your real life right away.
You don’t need to wait until you’re completely depleted to start reclaiming your energy. If you’re waking up dreading work, struggling with boundaries, or feeling misaligned with your values, this program will meet you where you are.
No, this is not therapy or supervision. This is an evidence-based, guided program designed to help clinicians recover from burnout, redesign their work rhythms, and restore their energy. You’ll gain strategies, accountability, and support, but it’s not a replacement for personal therapy or clinical supervision if you need it.
Life happens. You’ll always have access to the recordings and materials to catch up on your own time. The program is designed to be flexible, and the accountability checkpoints will help you stay connected even if you miss a week. Additionally, the six-monthly post-program group calls enable you to revisit and review information, integrating practices into your schedule, making the program sustainable.
I understand that investing in yourself can feel like a stretch, especially when you’re already carrying the weight of a demanding profession. That’s why I offer flexible monthly payment plans in addition to the pay-in-full option. You can choose the structure that works best for your budget, so cost doesn’t become another barrier to your recovery.
Yes. Burnout is costly; it drains your health, your relationships, and often your income when it leads to reduced capacity or time off work. This program provides you with sustainable tools to reclaim your energy, establish boundaries, and rediscover joy in your practice. Think of it as an investment not just in your career, but in your quality of life.
You’re not alone. Many clinicians work in under-resourced systems where the pressure feels constant. This program acknowledges those realities rather than pretending they don’t exist. While we can’t change the system overnight, what we can do is help you recognize what belongs to you and what doesn’t, create sustainable rhythms within your scope of influence, and set boundaries that protect your energy. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s finding freedom and steadiness, even in imperfect environments.
The ReLit Practice is your chance to step back into alignment, to restore your energy, and to create a way of working that sustains you as much as it supports the people you serve.
